CELEBRATION

Dear V,

Aunt Sarah and I finally were able to celebrate her birthday today.  I think I have been counting down the days to THIS DAY for over 2 months!  Uncle David watched ALL of the kids for the whole day (starting at noon).

I had Lily take some pictures, because Aunt Sarah and I don’t have any recent pictures of us together.

Then we went back to our house and opened presents and ate lunch. You can never go wrong with shrimp and brie!!!

After lunch we went shopping.  We found all these great consignment stores to go to…and we both found some incredible deals!

After all of that shopping we headed back home and ate a wonderful Indian meal that I had put in the crockpot earlier that morning.  (Gotta love crockpots.)

Then, we headed downstairs to eat cookies and watch a movie. (Do you see Ruthie trying to steal Aunt Sarah’s cookie?)

The movie we watched was, Lagaan, it was one that Leslie had mailed to me.  We only made it halfway through though, because it’s a FOUR hour movie.  But that gives us a wonderful excuse to get back together real soon!

It was such a wonderful day, spent with a wonderful friend!

I love you, V….and cannot wait to celebrate YOUR birthday with you!

Love,

Mom

  1. Is there anything better than celebrating a special day (and a special friendship) “just girls” style? Love it! Looks like you had a totally blessed day! :)

    Blessings to you both!

    Love,

    Tina
